Is it sad that I saw a picture of this restaurant theme and immediately knew who had designed it?
Oh, HR Giger. Never stop being your creepy, macabre, bonkers self.

HR has his style firmly set.
Have you ever seen pics of his house?

Not that that's a bad thing.
I remember when my friend and I were checking out pictures of the Harkonnen chairs, I opined that I'd have trouble having one in my house--I'd suspect it of moving around at night. I had the same problem with the idea of a Giger tattoo--even though one of the coolest tattoos I've ever seen was of a chestburster depicted actually bursting from the guy's chest. That was something.

... Okay, maybe it was really more because the boy is trying desperately to fill what he calls my "moviehole", which until last night had no Alien movie at all in it.
But sending him that link was certainly a factor!

My big brother can identify any Billy Joel song by the first chord. My consort and I can fairly reliably identify the country of origin for most 13th century illuminations. It's just a different form of media geeking, is all.
And like it or not, you're a geek. ;-)
