I just found Liz’s present while out shopping.

 

My brother’s gonna be jeeealous!

 

But now I need to figure out if I should send it now and make it an early birthday present, or bring it with me when I go back for winter term and make it a late Christmas present. Either way she may wind up getting it after I’ve opened it—because I may, you know, just check and see if it’s good.*

 

I’ll tell you all what it is when I send it.  Because it’s really cool. But for now, I just felt like sharing.

 

 

*Doubtless I’ve wound up on Judith Martin’s hit list for that last statement. If you find me dead and giftwrapped, you’ll all know why.

Now I'm super-curious about what it is, if your brother will be jealous over it. Perhaps it would be better if we just skipped the birthdays and did a mini christmas party when we meet up agin in winter. And by the way, when are you leaving the country?

Got it in one. I'm all excited to watch 'em--have to keep reminding myself that nice girls don't open other people's presents and try 'em out. But it's TOUGH sometimes ...
