In that vein, one of the articles you can click through to compared racial identity to gender identity, and i had a rather violent mental/emotional kickback against that, which I am now examining to see why. My thoughts aren't sufficiently marshaled to add anything coherent about it yet, and I don't know if they will be anytime soon, but I wanted to share that particular social construct and identity reaction. Hm.

I don't have a link, but Janet Mock had a nice short piece about how the two are distinct, from the point of view of someone who's both black and trans. How intersectionality doesn't mean considering different forms of lack of privilege to be the same, and that they shouldn't be conflated.
