I found Cub Scouts pretty cool, mostly because my mom was a great Den Leader, but then when we went up to Boy Scouts and the more senior Scouts were the ones who were supposed to be coming up with stuff for us to do and none of my friends were in my Troop, it totally sucked, and I left after a couple of months. Based on the boys I was in there with, your experience doesn't surprise me in the least.
