Unlikeable People Making Bad Decisions actually sums up most of the first season of AHS pretty well. I haven't watched series 2 or 3 yet, so I don't know about them, but the only characters I consistently liked in the first one were Violet and Chad (Chad only shows up in a few episodes, but is played by Zachary Quinto and is therefore awesome).

I liked the opening music, but then, I'm a big Tom Waits fan ;)
