Agreed. The footage would have spoken for itself for the most part; a few cards of explanatory text or a brief introduction from the ground crew lady might have been all that was needed. (If they'd, y'know, left the film in chronological order. The nonlinear structure seemed kind of pointless, too.) Narration is supposed to provide context or fill in gaps in the records we have.
