Hyperbole and a Half is back!
It's possible not-depressed people won't get this new post at all, and depressed people may not want to do any reliving, but god DAMN, I have been in that place and felt those not-feelings and let me tell you when I read this post I laughed my ASS off. I have never seen What Depression Is Like communicated so well. Allie is a GENIUS. A depressed, anhedonic genius.

That's pretty much what I thought. I was just about crying with laughter--and not in a sad-funny way, but a funny-because-YES EXACTLY THAT way. Especially at the reassurances after the "I maybe am suicidal" bit and the fucking Positivity Sprinkler.
As an aside, Mom now has the Maybe Everything Isn't Hopeless Bullshit panel as her desktop. Because YES EXACTLY THAT, TOO.
(And yes, it's good to see that she's back. You get attached to these people!)
