Staying up on Longest Night to greet the Sunrise is fun. I've done it several times now, and am planning on it again this year, unless work interferes. IIRC, solarbird usually hosts a Longest Night party most years, which sounds fun, but I don't know anyone else around here who's into staying up all night on a Tuesday anymore ;)

Also, Purity Balls? Beyond creepy. There's like a whole new level of creepiness that they share with a couple other practices common to Fundies and Dominionists.
