Yeah, if my current self could go act for my child-self, that's exactly what I would say. "You're right. I AM."

I didn't insist vocally that others really could get it, but I certainly THOUGHT it. Even now, I'll make any number of excuses/explanations for a persons' behavior before I admit to myself that no, really, they're just terribly dumb.
