Hence in Spanish, orange = naranja.
My alien character, Dweiji (an arhode--sort of humanoid with fur, four arms, and digitigrade legs) saw these pants lying around in my mind and put them on, noting that she had a lot like them. Apparently, women from her region of Kalkupu wear them.
And thanks for the condolences. I'll miss her.
