bloodyrosemccoy: Beast from X-Men at the computer, grinning wickedly (Beastly)

We’ve got a new socialite on the block. He’s three years old and spends his evenings doing rounds in the neighborhood on his bike, with his mom trailing along behind him. Kid’s cute and friendly and always coming over to say hello.

He’s also allergic to pretty much everything edible, so for Halloween we had to check with his mom to see what kind of food the little pirate can eat.

She gave us a few ideas, then told us not to worry if we didn’t have anything on the list. “See, every Halloween we take the things he’s allergic to and leave them out, and during the night the Switch Fairy comes and switches out the ones he can’t have!”

Which is cute and totally brilliant. Especially since I have decided that the Switch Fairy is played by Neal Patrick Harris, based on his performance as the Fairy Shoe Person.

Also, the slavering horde is damn polite this year.* What kind of trick-or-treaters remind each other to say “Thank you”?!  Kids these days.

Right. Finishing up the doll album now.  That’s where TRUE Halloween lies, my friends!

*Unless you count the fact that they all have pillowcases to carry the candy, which my mom has always disapproved of.  I’m not sure why—not everyone can be the Tote Bag Lady—but she always drew the line at pillowcases.
